Bill’s Torture Chamber — The Forbidden Pictures!
July 21, 2010 — Negotiation Is OverPlease note: My words are NOT a reflection of any other editor on the NIO Collective. I do not speak for any individual or group associated with NIO’s extended global collective of autonomous resistance cells. And I do not in any way represent my associates in Florida who are organizing the August 7 protest.
August 7 (12 pm – 2 pm): WE URGE EVERY AVAILABLE ACTIVIST TO
by Camille Marino
Bill’s Bird Boutique has signs posted warning activists that cameras are disallowed in their torture chamber. The owners physically assaulted, insulted and threatened me and my allies as we tried to capture a few images. Other activists now report being subjected to the same physical repercussions and intimidation tactics.. exploitation-as-usual. (See “Cameras or Firebombs???” ) The Davie police department unequivocally protected the abusers, took our ID, and gave us AETA warnings. It is now my understanding that we were issued trespass citations as well ….
And, thus far, this unhygienic crew of inbreds has been allowed to torture animals with impunity.
I am now in receipt of several images from inside Bill’s documenting gross neglect and overcrowding but I still want pictures of the sick, injured and mutilated birds hidden away. And I want pictures of their tormentors. I encourage activists to descend on Bill’s, document their crimes, take their pictures as they arrive at the store, get the images of where they rest their heads at night. Get their faces! Get their information. None of us has a right to privacy when we are out in public — if you can see it, you can take a picture, and I will do my best to promote the free flow of information in the public domain. NIO will publish everything we can to completely expose these filthy sadists.
The prisoners now have a voice. It’s called NIO!
more birds bred to live in misery. these babies at least have each other... but still no food or water.
most birds are forced to live in obscenely-overcrowded cages with other prisoners although some of the larger birds are shoved into whatever size cage they fit into.
Camille Marino is the founder & Senior Editor of NIO. She is the coordinator of the Florida unit of the NIO In the Streets collective of decentralized autonomous resistance cells, a Task Force Director, and co-founder of Pro-Test for Science. Negotiating with abusers is an exercise in futility. The only action that matters to the imprisoned is the one that imparts freedom. It is a moral obligation to protect the innocent. Free speech must be exercised or it shrivels up and dies. Oppressors never simply relinquish their power. They need to be subdued and removed.
If the nonhumans could fight back, their tormentors would have expired long ago. We have an obligation to expose the abusers. It is the LEAST we can do! I welcome your emails & contributions.
