NIN — Everyday Is Exactly The Same, and Other Happy Songs

Trent Reznor. Born the same day as me. Same age (Maybe, shall not say on my blog, but very well could be, indeed.) Moody. I wonder if it's a Taurus thing, a trait of creative people. He's brilliant, talented and damn good looking.

My friend Keith introduced me to "Pretty Hate Machine" in '89 and said, "This is going to be the next biggest thing, just you see, listen to this, it's going to blow your mind."

It did.

(During Woodstock '94 and Self Destruct, Trent ended the song with "I can never have... and you will never, ever, ever understand... how I feel.")

Trent and Marilyn Manson, live in NY. I was right there, off to the side of the stage… and loving every minute — no, no, no — second of it. Marilyn showed up to do "Starfuckers."
