About My Blog.

Welcome! This is "Catatonic Digressions."
Most readers don't understand my blog's title. It's an old inside joke from a forum long gone. I was going to change it, but since it's been "confusing" for so long, I decided to leave it. Don't worry about what it means, the content of the blog is what matters...or not

Unfortunately, my blog isn't what I set out for it to be. A sick woman in Orleans, MA began stalking me in 2007 on Myspace. Since that time, this woman obsessed over me to the point of having the police come to her home and threaten to confiscate her laptop. She is a racist and anti-Semite.I could no longer blog freely, knowing this nutbag was just going to take the photos I'd post and put them on a child exploitation website.

This site is only up for the information it has that others might need to know about. That information is about "Seal Shepherd" aka Michael McDade, Kat McAboy aka Marilyn McAboy and Veronika Hompo, a self-proclaimed Nazi.

I'm a real person. I'm real and I don't pretend to be someone I'm not. After years of putting up with online abuse by manipulative, pathological liars, attention whores or narcissists, I've had it. Don't bother me with pathetic drama. I have no time for these types of people and their need to absorb others' time and attention.

This blog is no longer used. I've retired it for the most part unless something very important comes up.

Please, join Sea Shepherd Conservation Society, and follow them on Twitter and Facebook.

Lollapalooza 2009 - the official & complete lineup [from Brooklyn Vegan]

Lollapalooza 2009 - the official & complete lineup

"Though promoters around the country report strong early ticket sales for festivals and summer tours, the recession is causing jitters. This year Coachella, which has the most glamorous reputation of all American festivals, began selling tickets on layaway, and 18 percent of its customers took that option, Mr. Tollett said.

The proliferation of big festivals, like Bonnaroo near Nashville and Lollapalooza in Chicago, has not been without casualties. This year Langerado in Miami shut down, citing the economy. The Pemberton Festival in British Columbia is on hiatus after only one year, although its promoter, Live Nation, said the problem was permit delays." [NY Times]

With all the leaks of bands playing Lollapalooza this year, there are almost no surprises in the official lineup announcement, except maybe the Animal Collective DJ set... The whole thing below...

Music, Photos, & News from a Vegan in Brooklyn

BrooklynVegan is a NYC-centric mostly-music blog that focuses on reporting international music news, live show reviews, pictures, tour dates, gossip, tips, MP3's, videos, and just about anything else a music fan could want. Non-music news finds it's way on to our pages as well, and every post comes with an open exchange of ideas via the public commenting system.

Though still primarily run by one person (often reffered to as "Brooklyn Vegan" and/or "BV"), we've (I've) recently expanded to include regular and semi-regular contributers. Contributors include:
  • "Brooklyn Vegan" - runs this site, never meant for that to become an actual nickname. e-mail is the best way to reach him.
  • Showtrotta - "Showtrotta" writes the weekly "week in dance" content - posts that focus on electro happenings in and around NYC as well as related artist profiles and downloads. You can also find Showtrotta at her own blog.
  • Black Bubblegum - "The Week in Metal" is his primary focus, but you'll find his name on numerous other mostly-metal-related music news and reviews as well. Contact BB at akablackbubblegum AT gmail
  • Bill Pearis - the latest feature writer to join BrooklynVegan, Bill fills in the "indie" blanks in his new weekly column about Indie Rock. He can also be found at his own blog called Sound Bites.
  • Kyle Dean Reinford - photo editor and contributing photographer.
  • Largehearted Boy - Largehearted Boy writes "Largehearted Boy's Interesting CD Releases This Week". This is a feature that started, and can also still be found, on Largehearted Boy's own world-renowned music blog.
  • Nick Masi - my co-host on BrooklynVegan "blog radio" on Sirius, Nick is also an occasional contributor to the website.
Stay tuned for a more complete list of contributors.

BrooklynVegan also sponsors and produces events, and can be heard on Sirius satellite radio station 'Left of Center' every Wednesday @ 12pm EST (noon), and again @ midnight (EST).

The best way to contact us is via e-mail.
